Janna Civils, DDS
I am originally from Lincolnton, North Carolina, and grew up living on twenty-one acres of land. My father, uncle and two cousins are all dentists. I attended the School of Science and Math in Durham, North Carolina. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for undergraduate majoring in Psychology and graduating with Highest Honors. I did research at the UNC School of Dentistry studying TMJD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder) and Chronic Pain in women. I then attended UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, graduating in 2001 with Honors. I also received an award for Best Initial Diagnosis and Treatment Planning.
Following school, I practiced with my father in Lincolnton. In 2002, I moved to Greensboro, taking a position with Moses Cone Hospitals running the Dental Clinic at Health Serve. Following this, I was in private practice for eleven years located in Fisher Park. In addition, I have office-shared with another dentist and have been an Associate Dentist in a group practice.
I am the mother of two boys ages 13 and 16. I knit and crochet, love to cook, create amazing birthday cakes, love to walk and dance. I have a seven-pound Pomeranian named Pender. I love my family, dentistry, and Greensboro.
I am lucky because I have been given so many rich experiences and been challenged throughout my growing career. I have learned that the patient should feel like the world revolves around them. Meaning, you should be given time, respect and be heard. I know I can provide you with an excellent experience, establish trust, and give you the highest quality of dental care. It is with great pleasure that I join Dr. William Gross bringing with my views and years of experience.
